Wowsers!  It is now officially 2 years to the day since Your Music Radar was born and what a two years it has been.  It doesn’t seem a year since we writing a 1 year post and getting ready to hit SXSW for the first time.  Happy birthday to us we say!

This time last year, we were still finding our feet and finding not only our fan base but the up and coming artists we started to get behind to help give them an online leg up and help raise them to the next level, get signed and get picked up where they belong.  Since then it is fair to say that Your Music Radar has kind of transformed from a music site that is not only passionate about music, into a music site that dedicates most of its time to independent and unsigned artists that a lot of other global music sites overlook. Saying that, if there’s a hot track from a big artist on the horizon we are always up for sharing and caring those tracks too.

We’ve had thanks along the audio journey so far from a lot of bands, artists and DJs including Trails and Ways, Vicetone, Wekeed, The Royal Concept, Tommie Sunshine, The Disco Fries, Capital Cities, The 1975 and many more who we’ve tried our best to help and get their tunes and tracks out to the masses whenever and where ever we can.  We’d like to take this opportunity to fire the thanks right back at them all too as without those amazing tracks that find their way onto Your Music Radar, we wouldn’t have grown to where we are right now either.

Again, we’re counting down to SXSW and this year it is going to be bigger, bolder and better and we can’t wait.  Keep your eyes on YMR for lots of hot up and coming talent and bands that you should be putting on your watch list for 2013.  It’s going to be sonic ride for the senses and we hope you keep coming along for the trip. 🙂
