Matt Woods drops his dreamscape of a track ‘Leaning Towers’ and this singer songwriter from Cornwall knows exactly how to write a track that embeds itself under your skin and burrows into your warm and happy place.
On previous track ‘Into The Dark’ we compared Matt Woods’ vocal talents to that of gravel voiced UK artist James Morrison. On ‘Leaning Towers’ he shows that he is more than just a sensual, lights down low kind of voice and much more of a soul filled artist that is likely to give Hozier a run for his money. In fact, I can’t put my finger on many other artists that are in this territory at the moment apart from the likes of John Newman but the bpms are way down on the numbers on these Matt Woods’ tracks.
‘Leaning Towers’ features on the 3 track Into The Dark EP which is available from 20th April and also includes title track ‘Into The Dark’ and ‘Impression’. Matt will also be performing a headline show at The Islington, Angel on 22nd April, so get your tickets HERE.
We all need support from other people, and in return for supporting somebody you get something back too. Like we are all leaning inwards, depending on others. And if we let somebody fall then we all fall.
Get on this stellar track below and make sure to get the EP.
