We’re in town for the full SXSW experience over the next week and you get the feeling that SXSW Music is crossing over into Interactive territory. We dropped into the SXSWi Paypal Interactive party last night and when the party started to finish up, we checked into the downstairs bar at Mohawk and managed to catch a local Austin band called Belaire.
Belaire have the hallmarks of Peter, Bjorn and John mixed in with the dreamy tones of some classic Air (and a bit of Burt Bacharach). As Bruce Springsteen said in his keynote last year, “choose a band and choose your own adventure”. We did just that last night as we’re glad we picked up on Belaire.
We’re gonna get our fix on Bandcamp of their album Resonating Symphony and get stuck into their back catalogue too.
