SXSW 2015: Top Must See Female Artists

After putting together our SXSW 2015 Showcasing Artist playlist, we think that there is a strong female artist contingent performing this year and we’ve selected our top picks that you should make a beeline for and catch performing live at a stage near you in Austin this week.

We thought about listing out ALL of the must see artists that you should be chomping at the bit to see this week in Austin but mostly these can be down to personal taste, where the mystical SXSW path takes you and so forth. If you’ve been to SXSW, you’ll know that 9 out of 10 times, your best laid plans will go off on a tangent, be shattered with multiple clashes and the week catching up on you and getting the better of you. Hence, a specific target of 15 female artists gives you much more of a change to make that target (or get close).

There are some obvious omissions here too, but this is all about seeing artists that you can catch in smaller venues that won’t come around too often and also getting to see artists on the rise before they amplify their venue sizes.
