SAFIA are definitely one of Australia’s ones to watch at the moment. From the quality of this new track ‘Paranoia, Ghosts & Other Sounds’ it appears that they’ve an audio weapons arsenal ready to hit us all up into 2015.
We caught these guys live recently and whilst we thought they were great, they didn’t come across live like they do on record. Live, they feel like Disclosure wannabies but on record they’re slick and soulful. I’m hoping that they realise that they are outstanding vocally and that they don’t need to try and emulate another band as they’re unique in their own right. Anyway, minor quibble as this is gold and live they’re gold and highly recommended.
