This cover of the classic Daft Punk track ‘Something About Us’ by the ever excellent Owl Eyes is quite captivating. It’s a big ask to put your own spin on a track that doesn’t need tampering with and the lights down low take on this track is exquisite.
It might not be the right time for some artists, but it is definitely the right time ‘pre SXSW’ to get a cover of this quality and magnitude out there before you head stateside to promote your wares big style in Austin and then onwards to play vocal duties for Flight Facilities at Coachella.
This cover has stamped Owl Eyes authority all over it. The video is slick too. This track is what a blissful dream would sound like.
