Misty Miller has drawn in YMR like a tractor beam from the mothership. This track ‘Petrified’ is a stripped back heart felt slow burner that we’re simply hooked on.
There’s an album in the pipeline that’s getting the finishing touches and we’re promised that the release will get an extensive tour. Touring is no stranger to Misty as she’s been on the road with the likes of Jake Bugg, Tom Odell and The Eels.
I wrote this song when I was 15, but never recorded it and rarely played it live. In the past year I found it became relevant to my life again. So I worked on it, and what was once simply a song about a 15 year old girl afraid to meet up with a guy has now matured into complexity.
The recording was very funny, we couldn’t stop laughing, the instrumentation started out as a joke. My guitarist was on the Rhodes and I have never seen him laugh so much.
