Flight Facilities celebrate a decade as Australia’s favourite songwriting duo, by sharing their new app, Flight Deck. Available on iOS and Android, the app gives fans free and exclusive access to a decade of Flight Facilities content – unreleased tracks, mixtapes, remixes, DJ sets and impossible-to-find bootlegs.
To launch Flight Deck, the duo share a brand new 1962-1972 instalment, as a prequel to their famed Decade Mixes, premiered via a Triple J Mix-Up takeover and this is available to stream exclusively via the app.
The app creation is motivated largely by a lack of permanent space to share their hugely-requested edits, hidden secrets, and unofficial remixes from countless live shows and DJ appearances. That, combined with their love for the pre-algorithm era of DJ discovery culture, Jimmy Lyell and Hugo Gruzman will upload exclusive content to Flight Deck, for fans to hear first. The app is split into three categories: Mixes, Tracks and Selects – all powered by an intelligent music player, akin to any other streaming service.
Personally, we love it for proper access to all of their Decade Mixes that we can now stream throughout the entire home on our networked Smart Speakers. What joy!
