World of Dub got me onto this local Melbourne band with the sweet sweet sound of Emma Donovan & The Putbacks being played in all of their glory on vinyl. You’d be forgiven for thinking that you were listening to tracks poached from the seventies by Quentin Tarantino for one of his soundtracks.
This album and favourite track ‘Dawn’ is only a couple of months young and is truly outstanding. It is out on HopeStreet Recordings and you should get it on vinyl asap. This harks back to a sound from decades ago but it’s still as relevant today as ever and is just golden.
