The track ‘Love Teeth’ by Drew Smith has something unmistakably warm, fuzzy and comforting about it that means I just cannot stop playing it.
Drew’s vocals and song writing skills do remind me of artists such as Christopher Cross, The Red House Painters, Jose Gonzales and Josh Pyke. All of this would be great on it’s own with the track ‘Love Teeth’, however, the extra added sparkle on this one is the video that has been produced for it by Sohee Jeon.
My first ‘real’ job was teaching English as a Second Language in Ontario. I kept in correspondence with many of my students, and was pleasantly surprised to find one of them, Sohee Jeon, had become an established animator in South Korea. She expressed how much she had been enjoying my music, and while I was working on my newest record The Secret Languages she generously offered up her services to make an animated video for my newest single “Love Teeth”.
This track could easily slot into the hottest 100 tracks in Australia and feature on Rage TV. If not in 2011 it should be heard by the masses so it can make it into 2012.
A stunning track and video that should give some time to. Check it all out below:
