We’ve been absolute massive fans of Starsmith for some time now and we thought it was about time we dedicated some YMR space to the one Fin Dow-Smith. Starsmith definitely walk in the same footsteps as the quality mixes produced by the likes of Penguin Prison, Louis La Roche and Jacques Lu Cont to name but a few.
One listen to the remix of Robyn’s track ‘Hang With Me’ will definitely confirm that for you.

Talking about producing tracks like the remixes that Penguin Prison have turned up, there was a fantastic remix of ‘The Worse It Gets’ that Starsmith did which was absolute gold dust!!!

Whilst both of the above mixes are awesome, we’d have to say that our favourite mix by Starsmith is the first one we ever heard that he’d done. Lisa Mitchell’s track ‘Coin Laundry’ received the almighty remix treatment and even 2 years on, this mix is still a stunner.

Our two favourites from more recent times would be the mix of St. Lucia’s track ‘We Got It Wrong’ and the mix of Gypsy & The Cat’s ‘Jona Vark’.
