Actor have dropped the fourth track to grace our ears in the last 6 months and ‘Uppercut’ might be the most polished one we’ve heard so far. It keeps the underlying darkness of previous tracks ‘Feline’ and ‘Baby Cries’ but it also manages to add a dash of light to the mix too.
I’m a big fan of Actor aka. Louisa Osborn, collaborating producer Chris Mulligan and drummer Ste Anderson, who started writing their caustic and atmospheric alt-pop in a murky art space once home to a bomb factory in Leeds.
With a growing clutch of songs varying in mood from sharp-edged ballads to brittle alt-rock ACTOR have a suitably incendiary element to their music in live shows to be witnessed this December in Leeds and London.
