Going to Splendour In The Grass? Are you a big fan of Lorde? Well, you might like this news then. Lorde’s has been announced as a surprise act for Sunday’s set list. Not a bad week for Lorde as she was also the first lead solo female artist to reach the US Rock Top 10 in a maiden chart visit since Meredith Brooks dropped ‘Bitch’ which hit No.4 back in 1997.
Sometimes things happen for a reason. Lorde, the NZ artist on everybody’s playlist right this moment, is heading to Australia for a very special performance at Splendour in The Grass tomorrow.
Lorde’s Sunday afternoon set is sure to an unexpected highlight of the festival. The 16 year old impressed everyone on her sold-out, exclusive club performances in Sydney and Melbourne recently and this will be the first time that many will get to see this star in the making.
Lorde will appear at 5.30pm, with every other act scheduled to appear on the Supertop Stage moving up a slot. Of Monsters and Men will be performing in the headline slot instead of Frank Ocean, whose cancellation has previously been announced by the festival promoters.
